I first learned about Munay-Ki through a woman named Susan Shahidi. She came to me as a Web Design client and as I began to work on her site and absorb the information something rang true to the very core of me.

I knew I had to go through this initiation process.

Receiving these rites was not only a desire, it was as if it was a requirement for my soul. I felt compelled to walk this path. I knew it would change my life!

Within a month of meeting Susan I was enrolled in her first class and receiving the Munay-Ki nine rites, one week at a time. I began to notice a shift almost immediately.

My first week, after receiving the "healers rite", I was guided to write an E-book on a topic of emotional abuse I had suffered in my past. The book really wrote me and I completed it in three days!

I knew on many levels the writing of this book was a way for me to tell my story one last time and let it go. It was time to re-write my story, release my past and move into a future I could only imagine.

The book was a success! Within the second week I sold some $500.00 worth of E-books and received numerous letters from readers who were relieved to find a method to assist them in their recovery.

Yet for me the success of my E-book was not where my attention was. The growth happening through the Munay-Ki Initiations was phenomenal. I was being led to so many opportunities to release the patterns that had been playing out all my life and perhaps even lifetimes.

When I was moving towards receiving the fifth and sixth rite I really noticed the emotional energy in my life being stirred up. My husband left for a month long soul journey to Brazil to be with John of God and I was left feeling a deep sense of loss and abandonment.

Normally I saw myself as a very strong, independent woman and I was perplexed by what was coming up for me.

My initial reaction was to blame my husband for these feelings I was having. I wanted to be angry at him for abandoning me, but it didn't make sense. We had both agreed he needed to do this one on his own and I needed to stay and do this work on my own. It was a way for both of us to go the next level in our lives.

The week after receving my sixth rite I sat in medititation and allowed myself to experience the horrible feeling of abandonment and fear that was residing in my third Chakra, solar plexis area. I put my hand on the area and got in touch with that energy.

At first I wanted to distract myself. I thought about eating something or going and doing something else. But I knew I had to stick with this feeling no matter how uncomfortable it was.

I began to feel an aching in my womb as if I had just birthed a child and now my womb was empty. There was a sense of grief and loss that seemed to be attached to the empty feeling in the womb. I then became aware of my Mother and felt I was feeling her pain.

I allowed myself to go deeper into this and soon became aware of a horrible feeling of grief, fear and abandonment that my Mother felt when my Father was killed. I was only five months old at the time and had absorbed her emotions and carried them with me through my entire lifetime, up until now.

I knew on some levels I was carrying this, but I didn't realize until now just how much it was effecting my life.

At this point I knew this was not mine to carry and I released it. I felt a great compassion and empathy for my Mother but knew I wasn't serving her or anyone else by carrying this. Once I let it go I felt a tremendous sense of relief.

Within a few days I was feeling much more empowered and my energy towards my husband in Brazil changed. I suddenly felt connected to him again and could appreciate where both of us were.

With the Munay-Ki we are clearing our ancestral patterns that have been passed down from generation to generation. Once we begin working with the luminous beings through the Munay-Ki we have agreed on some level to under go the cleansing and clearing necessary to free us from the past.

We draw to us the experiences and opportunities to faciliate this clearing. We learn to hold fire ceremonies and give all the stuck emotion and worn out patterns to the fire; to the light.

We no longer have to approach our healing from a mental and emotional level but rather a spiritual level. There is no longer any need to analyze, to dissect and tear apart our issues in attempt to understand them. Instead we simply put our issues into the fire to be transmuted.

Receiving the Munay-Ki nine rites of initiation puts us on the rapid healing path of transformation. Through this initiation process we are gifted seeds as an energetic transmission and those seeds are germinated not by water but by fire.

The process of ascension or awakening to our full potential as a human being happens almost over night.

Where many of us have struggled along the path of spiritual awakening for decades, the Munay-Ki takes you from here to there in nine steps. Each rite takes a little time to integrate however I am finding the time is also quite rapid.

The rites are being transmitted to me one week at a time and I am integrating almost as fast. Some who have known me for a while have noticed a huge transformation of my energy taking place.

One woman described my transformation as being a growing awareness of my God Self. I was beginning to radiate the light of the luminous ones and share this light with those whom I come in contact with.

Dr. Alberto Villoldo who brought the Munay-Ki nine rites of Initation to the United States from Peru, talks about three views of God that we hold. One belief is that God is a force outside of ourselves that we must answer to and make offerings to. The second belief is that God is a force that operates through us and the third belief is that God is a force that operates as us.

When we realize that we are not separate from God but rather an individual expression of God, we can begin to step into our power and see the purpose and significance of our lives.

I am excited to share the Munay-Ki Nine Rites of Initiation with others. It has been given to us so we can spread these seeds of awakening throughout humanity. Once we receive and integrate the Nine-Rites we may Initiate others.

The seeds must be transmitted responsibly and we must take responsibility for those we are initiating to be sure they are integrating the seeds and the process is not moving too fast for them.

Although the seeds are gifted freely, most Munay-Ki Initiations are set up in a group/class or workshop setting so students can learn about each rite and also share their experiences along the way.

There is a fee charged for the classes and accompanying coaching which in our culture is very important to assure dedication and commitment to the process and also to ensure those receiving the initations understand the high value of what they are receiving.
